Elderflower liqueur has been one of my go-to ingredients for years, it's so simple to add a splash to white wine or champagne for an instantly delicious cocktail! Elderflower liqueur is made in France from fresh elder flowers which only bloom for a few weeks each year. The flowers are hand picked using traditional techniques, and then carefully distilled so that their complex and rich floral flavor shines.
- Ingredients:
- Elderflower liqueur (I like St. Germain)
- Champagne
- Optional: garnish of fresh orange or lemon peel
- Directions:
- Fill a glass 1/3 of the way with elderflower liqueur, then top off with champagne.
- If desired, add a twist of fresh orange or lemon peel.
- Enjoy!
