If you haven't experienced our exquisite, beautiful + nourishing Blue Tansy Shea Butter Balm before, you're in for a treat! It is a thick, rich, and concentrated beauty balm that readily melts into the skin ~ perfect for nourishing, moisturizing, repairing, smoothing, restoring, calming, and protecting. Ideal for dry, mature, chapped, windburned, sunburned, environmentally damaged, and irritated skin.

Unique from other recipes, our special formula is free of waxes (which is why we can't ship it during the summer months, and only make it from autumn-spring). This means that it will melt quickly once applied to the skin, and is completely vegan. Lovingly handcrafted in small batches with a blend of organic plant-based butters and oils including raw + fair trade shea butter, sunflower oil, argan oil, camellia oil, meadowfoam oil, plum oil, fair trade cocoa butter, and blue tansy essential oil.

This concentrated balm is absolutely perfect for cold or dry months, for dry and mature skin, and anytime that our skin needs an extra barrier of protection and moisturization. It can be used to nourish the face, cuticles, hands, and any dry spots on the body where it will melt into the skin - softening, smoothing, conditioning, nourishing, and protecting the skin while helping with skin elasticity and giving a healthy glow.

Not only is it naturally a lovely shade of blue, but blue tansy is known to contain anti-inflammatory properties, to calm and balance a variety of skin conditions, complexions, irritations, and reduce redness. In aromatherapy, blue tansy is used to reduce stress, anxiety, relax, and help promote feelings of peace, positivity, and confidence. Exotic cananga flowers support healthy cellular function, are soothing for the skin, and support healing of minor wounds while the sweet floral scent calms and relaxes.

This is a plant-based (and vegan) formula without any fillers, water-based ingredients, or waxes. Since it doesn't contain wax, it will soften and melt at warmer temperatures, so keep away from direct sunlight and heat. This is also the reason why we can't make and ship this product during the warmer summer months. So, make sure to stock up during the autumn-spring, because this is one of our most beloved and incredible products, and you won't find this special formula anywhere else!

This is a very concentrated and moisturizing balm, best suited for normal, dry, mature, and sensitive skin types (it is too thick and rich for oily skin).

Ingredients: organic raw + fair trade shea butter, organic sunflower oil, organic and fair trade unrefined cocoa butter, organic argan oil, meadowfoam oil, organic plum kernel oil, organic camellia oil, pure blue tansy essential oil, vitamin E oil (non-GMO), organic rosemary antioxidant, and cananga flower essential oil.

Size: 1 oz glass jar. 

To use: scoop a very small amount from jar (less than the size of a pea) - this product is very concentrated and you won't need much! Gently massage into skin, where it will quickly melt. It may feel heavy and thick at first, but it will soak in and it will provide a protective barrier against the elements.

Please note that the shade of blue naturally varies from batch to batch, so the balm that you receive may be lighter or darker than the balm featured in the photos.
  
Some photos depict this facial balm next to other shea butter balms. The Blue Tansy Facial Balm is a lovely shade of light blue (as pictured in the first image) whereas our other facial balms have a creamy off-white hue.

 

Blue color naturally varies from batch to batch, depending on natural variances in the essential oil.

To extend the shelf life, store in a dry, cool, and dark area. Direct light and heat will reduce the effectiveness and shelf life of the product.

If this product melts during transit, you can easily resolidify it by placing it in a refrigerator or freezer until it becomes solid again.

Please note that this balm may become grainy in texture. Please note that this is completely normal, and a result of nature of the butters and solid oils. However, once applied to skin, it will readily melt.

If you live in a warmer climate, you can keep this product stored in the fridge.

MAGICAL

MAGICAL. my skin craves this magnificent balm, it's not like those scents that your nose gets used to, every sing time I put it on I'm like YUUUUUMMMMM MMMMMMM YAYYYYYYY THIS SMELLS SOOOO GOOD. And I use half of a pea size and can cover my entire face with it. And it's blue which for some reason makes it that much more exiting. Must buy.

Blue Tansy Beauty!

I'm very pleased with this rich nourishing balm. I have reactive and sensitive skin and this feels soothing and helpful. I tried it first at night and woke with with more supple soft skin. I already trusted Blue Tansy essential oil as a great ally for sensitive skin, and this formulation really feels lovely. It's quite concentrated and a little really does go a long way

My blue remedy

I have dry, sensitive, reactive skin with rosacea and feared this balm might not be for me. However, it has been fabulous for me. I use it at night and my skin stays happy and hydrated. The smell is relaxing. I believe my redness has also improved. I’ve ordered another jar before it’s too late. I will keep it on the fridge since I live in hot and humid Mississippi.
