New! These heirloom Mayan loofahs are grown on family farms in Guatemala. The natural fibers are perfect for exfoliating away dead and dull skin cells to reveal fresh, glowing, radiant, and healthy skin underneath.

These heirloom luffas are farmed using traditional methods, which means that they are free of pesticides and herbicides, and are completely unprocessed. They are beautiful, durable, and help support traditional Mayan family farms in the tropics of Guatemala. 

When compared to our USA grown luffas, these heirloom Mayan loofahs are softer and have thinner, more flexible fibers. They're perfect for those who prefer a soft and flexible luffa, or have sensitive skin.

Luffas are a type of gourd, which means that these are plant-based, environmentally-friendly, sustainable, vegan, plastic-free, completely biodegradable, and can be composted (or reused as a cleaning sponge) at the end of their lifecycle. They work so well when paired with our botanical body wash!

Each Mayan loofah will arrive compressed and flattened, and will expand when wet. They are very durable and will last for a long time. When compared to bath sea sponges, they are more durable, more exfoliating, and will last longer.

Not only are they wonderful for bathing, but they are also wonderful for dishwashing, cleaning, and other household tasks.

Luffas are approximately 4.25" long x 2.25" wide (measured dry). Every luffa is naturally grown and unique, which means that the sizes and appearances will vary. Please note that these dimensions are approximate, and will naturally vary. Luffas do occasionally contain seeds.

Important: Luffas should be cleaned and disinfected regularly to prevent mold or bacteria growth. To clean your luffa, place it in the dishwasher, washing machine, or pour boiling water over it. Do not put it in a clothes dryer! Always allow luffas to air dry between uses.
