PREMIUM WHOLE NATURAL + SUSTAINABLE BATH SEA SPONGES {CARIBBEAN}

These natural and sustainable premium bath sponges are so luxurious! Perfect for lightly exfoliating skin, cleansing dirt, sweat, impurities, pollutants, and dead skin cells for fresh, glowing skin. Plus, they contain natural minerals which are beneficial for the skin. We've tested several sea sponges, and this grass variety sustainably harvested from the Caribbean is one of our top favorites!  They are gentle enough to be used in the bath or shower daily, yet they have the perfect amount of exfoliation.

These are premium, high quality sea sponges. They are whole sponges, sustainably cut from their base, but with their beautiful and natural form intact. They may have been shaped and cut slightly by divers, but are still in their original, natural form. We also offer cut sponges and smaller sponges at lower price points ~ they are also of high quality, but have been cut to their size and form. Since these sponges grow naturally in the sea, each sponge is unique in shape, size, and appearance. As you'll see in the photos, the sponges can vary quite a bit in appearance - no two are exactly the same!

Due to the popularity of our bath sea sponges, we're now offering more sizes and options! Measured at their widest point, our Extra Extra Large sponges are approximately 7-8 inches across, Extra-Large sponges are approximately 6-7 inches across, and Large sponges are approximately 5-6 inches across. Heights vary quite a bit from sponge to sponge, from approximately 3-6 inches. Please note that sponges are traditionally measured when wet, and expand in size once submerged in water.

Responsibly harvested and a naturally renewable resource, these sponges are hand-cut by divers to ensure that enough of the base remains intact so that the sponge can regrow. Studies show that areas harvested actually increase the population density of sponges. Sponges are biodegradable, and can be added to the compost once they've reached the end of their life-cycle.

Natural sea sponges are a renewable resource, and they are so much better for our environment than plastic poufs and bath accessories made from synthetic fibers. Not only do the plastic-derived products cause environmental pollution and consume a lot of natural resources to produce, but they have to be thrown away at the end of their lifecycle. Once in a landfill, they continue to break down and contribute to micro-plastic contamination in our soil, water sources, and oceans.

Sponge care: Rinse completely after each use and air dry. Sponges have complex and delicate fibers, and must be handled with care. Never twist or pull the sponge, and do not rub too vigorously on the skin. Gently squeeze the sponge to remove any excess water or soap, never wring or twist water and soap out. Twisting, pulling, or vigorously using the sponge will cause damage and tear the fibers, which will make the sponge fall apart. After each use, allow sponge to dry completely. Sponges will last much longer with proper care. Once they have reached the end of their life cycle, they can be easily composted instead of ending up in the landfill like synthetic alternatives.

Please note that sponges in photos are representative, and since each sponge naturally varies in color, shape, and size, the sponge that you receive will likely look different from the photos. If multiple sponges are ordered, they will be packaged in bundles (not individually wrapped).
